Making Tax Digital in 2026 to 2028

VAT-registered businesses already keep digital records and file VAT returns through compatible software under Making Tax Digital for VAT. Zoho Books can submit VAT returns to HMRC.
Making Tax Digital for Income Tax started on 6 April 2026 for sole traders and landlords with qualifying income over GBP 50,000, falling to GBP 30,000 from April 2027 and GBP 20,000 from April 2028. It does not apply to limited companies.
What we do: set up VAT, MTD connection and reports in Zoho Books and check them with your accountant. Sole traders should confirm with their accountant which software they will use for Income Tax.

Your first two weeks with Flowpeak in United Kingdom
