This comparison is for owners, finance leads and operations managers choosing between Zoho and Microsoft for CRM and ERP in 2027. We compare Zoho One and Zoho CRM with Dynamics 365 Sales and Dynamics 365 Business Central on scope, ERP depth, customization, AI agents and how each fits with Microsoft 365. We do not quote license prices, because both vendors change them by region. Microsoft details come from microsoft.com and Microsoft Learn, and Zoho details from zoho.com, as of November 2026.
What is the difference between Zoho and Microsoft Dynamics 365?
The short answer: Zoho sells a single suite, while Microsoft sells separate business apps that sit beside Microsoft 365. Zoho One is one subscription that covers sales, marketing, support, finance, HR and collaboration apps. Zoho says its standard Zoho One edition includes more than 50 applications, all sharing one user directory and admin panel.
Dynamics 365 is a family of apps you license one by one. For most small and midsize buyers the two that matter are Dynamics 365 Sales (CRM) and Dynamics 365 Business Central (ERP for small and midsize businesses). Microsoft states that Dynamics 365 Sales runs on Microsoft Dataverse and uses Power Apps model-driven design, so it is extended with Power Platform tools.
| Area | Zoho | Microsoft Dynamics 365 |
|---|---|---|
| Main CRM | Zoho CRM (Standard, Professional, Enterprise, Ultimate) or inside Zoho One | Dynamics 365 Sales (Professional, Enterprise, Premium, plus Microsoft Relationship Sales) |
| Main ERP / finance | Zoho Books and Zoho Inventory; Zoho ERP in India only | Business Central Essentials and Premium |
| Bundle | Zoho One: 50+ apps, All Employee or Flexible User pricing | Licensed per app; Microsoft 365 is a separate subscription |
| Low-code platform | Zoho Creator, Deluge scripting, Zoho Flow | Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse |
| AI | Zia, Zia Agents, Agent Studio, Zoho-hosted LLMs | Copilot and Microsoft agents (some need Copilot Credits) |
| How it is bought | Direct from Zoho or through a Zoho partner | Mostly through Microsoft partners, some online purchase |
Is Zoho One a CRM, and how does Zoho CRM compare with Dynamics 365 Sales?
Zoho One is not only a CRM, but it includes Zoho CRM alongside the other apps, and Zoho describes the bundled apps as their enterprise editions. If you only need sales tools, you can buy Zoho CRM on its own and pick an edition. Our short answer on Zoho One vs individual Zoho apps covers when the bundle pays off.
Both CRMs handle leads, accounts, deals, pipelines, quotes, forecasting and mobile access. The differences are in packaging. Microsoft's pricing page shows Sales Professional with limited customization and automation, and reserves custom apps, advanced sales force automation and Copilot capabilities for Enterprise and Premium. Zoho CRM spreads features such as Blueprints, Canvas layouts and Zia across its editions, so check Zoho's edition comparison for the exact split.
In practice, Dynamics 365 Sales tends to suit larger sales teams with internal IT or a Microsoft partner on retainer. Zoho CRM tends to suit teams that want a working pipeline in weeks and an admin who is not a developer. Most Flowpeak Zoho CRM setups go live within two weeks; integrations, complex workflows and Blueprints add time.
Microsoft ERP vs Zoho: how does Business Central compare with Zoho Books, Inventory and Zoho ERP?
Business Central is a full ERP. Microsoft lists finance, sales, purchasing, inventory, project costing with timesheets and job costing, and, in the Premium plan, manufacturing and service management. It also says Business Central is available in 157 countries and over 50 languages, with apps and extensions for industry needs.
Zoho's answer depends on where you are. Outside India, most companies combine Zoho Books for accounting with Zoho Inventory for stock, orders and warehouses, connected to Zoho CRM. That covers many distributors, traders and service firms, but it is lighter than Business Central for production planning and service contracts. In India, Zoho also sells Zoho ERP, which Zoho describes as covering core financials, supply chain from procurement to production, commerce, and HR with payroll. Zoho ERP is India-only at the time of writing.
If production orders, detailed bills of materials and service agreements sit at the center of your business, shortlist Business Central Premium. If accounting, inventory and CRM in one connected suite is the goal, Zoho is often the simpler project.
Can Zoho replace Microsoft, or should you run both?
Zoho can replace Dynamics 365 for CRM and, for many firms, for finance. Replacing Microsoft 365 email, Office and Teams is a separate decision, and plenty of businesses keep Microsoft 365 while running Zoho for operations. Our comparison of Zoho One vs Microsoft 365 covers that side.
Running both is common and workable. Zoho offers Microsoft 365 integrations for Zoho CRM, so reps can keep using Outlook. Microsoft, for its part, highlights that Business Central works inside Outlook, Excel and Teams, and that users with a Microsoft 365 license get read-only access to Business Central data in Teams. If your staff live in Excel and Teams all day, that tight fit is a real point in Microsoft's favor.
How do AI features compare: Zia Agents vs Copilot?
Both vendors now sell AI agents, not just chat assistants. Zoho offers Zia inside its apps, prebuilt Zia Agents, and Zia Agent Studio for building your own agents. Zoho says Zia Agents run on Zoho-hosted LLMs and that you can also connect your own model key. Zoho's agents pricing page currently says the agents themselves are free and you pay for LLM usage beyond a free monthly token allowance.
Microsoft lists Copilot capabilities in Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise and Premium, plus agents such as the Sales Qualification Agent and Sales Research Agent, which run on Copilot Credits. Business Central lists a Sales Order Agent, Payables Agent and Expense Agent, and custom agents built in Copilot Studio.
Both lists change often, and some items are in preview. Judge AI on one or two real tasks you would hand to an agent, run in a trial with your own data, rather than on feature lists.
Who should choose Zoho vs Microsoft Dynamics 365?
There is no universal winner. Use these signals to shortlist one side before you run demos.
- Lean towards Zoho if you want CRM, accounting, support, HR and projects from one vendor under one license model.
- Lean towards Zoho if you have no in-house developers and want an admin to manage changes after go-live.
- Lean towards Zoho if you are an Indian company that wants a full ERP from the same vendor as your CRM.
- Lean towards Dynamics 365 if your company is standardized on Microsoft 365, Azure and Power Platform.
- Lean towards Business Central Premium if manufacturing and service management are core processes.
- Lean towards Dynamics 365 if you already have a Microsoft partner and budget for a longer, partner-led ERP program.
For license costs, compare Zoho's pricing page for your region with Microsoft's Dynamics 365 pricing page, and add implementation and support costs to both.

Frequently asked questions
Is Zoho cheaper than Dynamics 365?
Both vendors price by region and edition, so compare Zoho's pricing page and Microsoft's Dynamics 365 pricing page for your country. Add implementation, integrations and support, because those often differ more than license fees.
Can Zoho CRM work with Outlook and Teams?
Yes. Zoho provides Microsoft 365 integrations, so sales teams can keep Outlook email and calendars while working in Zoho CRM. Check Zoho's integration pages for the features available on your edition.
Is Business Central available everywhere Zoho is?
Microsoft says Business Central is available in 157 countries. Zoho Books and Zoho One are sold widely too, but Zoho ERP is limited to India at the time of writing.
Can I move from Dynamics 365 to Zoho CRM?
Yes. Accounts, contacts, opportunities, activities and notes can be exported from Dynamics 365 and mapped into Zoho CRM modules. Plan field mapping and a test import before cutover.
Which is easier to administer after go-live?
Zoho is usually easier for a non-developer admin because most changes are made in settings. Dynamics 365 offers more depth through Power Platform but often needs a partner or in-house specialist.
