Zoho gives you the tools for GDPR and UK GDPR. Whether you meet the rules depends on how your account is set up and on your own processes. This is what we configure for European and UK clients.
Where your data lives
Zoho runs EU data centres (zoho.eu). The data centre is chosen when the account is created and is hard to change later, so decide before set-up.
Lawful basis and consent
Record the lawful basis and consent on contact records, keep marketing consent separate, and make unsubscribing simple. Zoho CRM has built-in GDPR settings for this.
Data subject requests
Be ready to give a person a copy of their data, correct it or delete it. Zoho supports export and deletion; your process decides who handles requests and how fast.
Access controls and security
- Role-based access so staff see only what they need
- Two-factor authentication for all users
- Audit logs for access and changes
- Field-level security for sensitive data
Processors and agreements
Zoho provides a data processing agreement for its services. When a partner such as Flowpeak works in your account, we sign a data processing agreement with you too, and you can remove our access at any time.
What we do and do not do
We configure Zoho with GDPR in mind and document the setup. We are not lawyers; confirm your obligations with your data protection adviser.
