To use Zoho Books for ZATCA e-invoicing, set up your organisation with the correct VAT registration and address details, configure 15% VAT, use the right invoice types (standard tax invoices for B2B, simplified for B2C), complete the e-invoicing onboarding that applies to your wave, and test invoices and credit notes before go-live. Confirm your phase and deadlines with ZATCA and your tax adviser.

Saudi e-invoicing (Fatoora) is rolled out by ZATCA in phases and waves. Phase 1 covered generating compliant electronic invoices; Phase 2 adds integration with ZATCA's platform for businesses as their wave is notified. Zoho Books supports Saudi VAT and e-invoicing, but the setup has to be right.
Setup checklist
- Organisation legal name in Arabic and English, VAT number and commercial registration
- National address details as registered
- 15% VAT and zero-rated or exempt rates where they apply
- Customer VAT numbers and addresses for B2B customers
- Invoice series and numbering that will not be reused
- E-invoicing settings and onboarding for your wave
- Arabic or bilingual invoice templates
