How do I merge two Zoho organisations or export data from one org?

Zoho has no button to merge two organisations. To combine them, export data from the one you are closing, clean and match it against the one you keep, and import it in the right order so relationships survive. Each app has its own export tools. For finance apps, usually only opening balances and open items move, not full history. Plan the cut-over before you start.

Two organisations often appear by accident, when someone signs up for a new app with a different email, or after a company acquisition. Integrations do not work across organisations, so merging is often needed. Decide which organisation will remain, usually the one with more history and the correct data centre.

Export from the organisation you are closing. CRM has data backup and module exports. Books, Inventory and other finance apps allow exports of contacts, items and transactions, and an organisation backup. Creator, Desk, Projects and People each have their own exports. Keep the original record IDs, because you will need them to rebuild links such as which deals belong to which accounts.

Import in order: users and settings first, then master data like accounts, contacts and items, then related records like deals or transactions. Use matching rules to avoid duplicates. For accounting, move opening balances and open invoices and bills as at a cut-over date, and keep the old organisation read-only for history.
