How do I migrate from Monday.com or Asana to Zoho Projects?

Export your boards or projects from Monday.com or Asana to CSV or Excel, map columns to Zoho Projects fields, and import them project by project. Zoho Projects offers import options, including for some tools directly, so check the current list. Plan how statuses, owners, dependencies and custom fields will map, migrate active work first, and archive old projects instead of moving everything.

Start with structure. Monday boards and Asana projects map to Zoho Projects projects, groups or sections map to task lists, and items or tasks map to tasks. Statuses become task statuses or custom fields. Make sure every user exists in Zoho Projects before importing, so owners match. Decide which custom fields you need and create them first.

Export from the source tool to CSV or Excel. Clean the file: fix dates, remove empty rows and standardise status values. Import one small project as a test and check tasks, owners, dates and comments. Comments and attachments often do not move through a simple export, so decide whether you need them or will keep the old system read-only for reference.
