Can I move my DocuSign templates to Zoho Sign?

There is usually no direct import of DocuSign templates into Zoho Sign. The practical route is to download the source documents behind each template, upload them to Zoho Sign as new templates, and place the signer fields, roles and signing order again. Completed DocuSign envelopes should be downloaded with their certificates and archived. Check with Zoho whether migration help is offered for your plan.

A DocuSign template is a document plus field placements, roles and settings. These are stored in DocuSign's own format, which Zoho Sign does not read directly. So you rebuild each template in Zoho Sign. For most businesses this is less work than it sounds, because a few templates are used for most agreements.

Start by listing templates and how often each is used. Retire old ones. For each remaining template, upload the PDF or Word file to Zoho Sign, define recipient roles such as client and company signer, set signing order, and drag fields like signature, date, name and text onto the page. Zoho Sign also supports text tags in documents, which can speed up field placement.

Download completed DocuSign envelopes with their certificates of completion before your subscription ends, and store them in WorkDrive or another archive. If your templates are used from Zoho CRM, set up the Zoho Sign integration in CRM so users can send them from records.
