Is Zoho Payroll available in Australia?

At the time of writing, Zoho Payroll does not offer an Australian edition with Single Touch Payroll, superannuation and award handling. It covers countries such as India, the US, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Canada and the UK. Australian businesses on Zoho usually run payroll in an STP-compliant provider and post the journals into Zoho Books. Check Zoho's site for updates.

Payroll is one of the most country-specific products Zoho makes, because each country has its own tax tables, reporting and compliance rules. Zoho has been adding countries one at a time. Australia needs Single Touch Payroll reporting to the ATO, superannuation guarantee payments, leave rules and often modern award interpretation, which is a large build.

Until an Australian edition exists, the practical setup is an Australian payroll provider that is STP-enabled, alongside Zoho Books for accounting and Zoho People for HR records, leave and attendance if needed. Look for a provider that can export a payroll journal or connect through an extension on the Zoho Marketplace or an integration tool, so wages, PAYG withholding and super land in the right accounts.

Keep the data flows simple. Decide which system owns employee records and avoid typing them twice. Map payroll accounts in Books, reconcile clearing and liability accounts every pay run, and keep STP lodgement records in the payroll system. Check the Zoho Payroll site from time to time, as country coverage changes.
