Certification means Zoho's information security management has been audited against the standard. Zoho also offers controls regulated businesses need, such as multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, IP restrictions, encryption, audit logs and data centre choice. Check the compliance page for which certificates apply to which apps and data centres, because coverage can differ.

Your obligations do not stop at the vendor. Regulators look at how you use the system. That means role-based access, regular access reviews, strong password and MFA rules, retention policies and the ability to export or delete data on request. A certified platform set up carelessly is still a risk.

Healthcare, finance and legal firms often need extra steps, such as a data processing agreement, a business associate agreement for some US healthcare uses, or local data residency. Ask Zoho for current documents and involve your compliance lead early. A configuration review can confirm that settings match your policies before you move sensitive data.
