How do I migrate subscriptions from Chargebee or Stripe Billing to Zoho Billing?

Recreate plans, addons and coupons in Zoho Billing, import customers, then import active subscriptions with their current term dates so billing continues on the right day. The hardest part is payment methods: card tokens can only move through a secure transfer between payment gateways, so plan that early with your gateway and Zoho support. Test renewals before cut-over.

Start with your catalogue. Map every Chargebee or Stripe plan, price, addon and coupon to a Zoho Billing plan or addon, including billing frequency, currency and tax treatment. Clean out old plans nobody is on. Then export customers with billing addresses, tax IDs and contact details, and import them into Zoho Billing.

Next, import subscriptions. Each needs the customer, plan, quantity, start date and next billing date so Zoho continues the cycle without double charging or skipping a period. Zoho Billing provides import options for subscriptions, and its help pages describe the current format. Bring open invoices and credits across separately, or settle them in the old system before cut-over.

Payment methods need the most care. Card details cannot be exported as plain data. If you keep the same gateway, such as Stripe, the existing customer payment references may be reusable. If not, a secure token migration between gateways is needed, which takes time. Freeze changes, run a test with a few real customers, compare the first renewal amounts, and only then turn off the old system.
