How should a service company set up Zoho products end to end?

Start with the money path: Zoho CRM for leads and deals, Zoho Books for quotes, invoices and payments, and Zoho Projects for delivery and time. Add Zoho Desk if you run support, and Zoho People and Payroll where staff and payroll rules allow. Connect them one at a time, get each working, then automate handoffs. Zoho One often makes sense once you need four or more apps.

Map the client journey first: enquiry, proposal, contract, delivery, invoicing and support. Then assign one Zoho app to each step. CRM holds the client and deal. When a deal is won, a workflow can create the project in Zoho Projects and the customer in Zoho Books. Time logged in Projects can be billed through Books.

Go live in stages. A common order is CRM and Books first, since they drive revenue and cash, then Projects, then Desk or HR apps. Each stage should run cleanly for a few weeks before the next. Trying to launch everything at once usually means none of it is used well.

Keep one source of truth per record type. Clients live in CRM, invoices in Books, tasks in Projects. Use Zoho Analytics later to report across them.
