About the client

The client is an airstrip agency providing air transport to rural villages in Papua New Guinea, where many communities depend on small landing strips.

The challenge

Each airstrip needs regular maintenance to stay safe to use. Records of past work and plans for future work were scattered, and keeping them up to date across many sites took constant manual effort.

What we built

• Airstrip records: One record per airstrip with its activity and full maintenance history.
• Three working modules: Separate modules for day-to-day activity, completed maintenance and planned maintenance, linked to each airstrip.
• Daily scheduled update: A scheduled function runs every day and updates every record, so due dates and statuses stay current.
• Staff access: Employees record activity in the field and office staff review it in the same app.
