Zoho Bookings vs Calendly: which is better?

Calendly is the better-known scheduling tool, with a very polished booking experience and a wide range of integrations. Zoho Bookings does most of the same job and integrates natively with Zoho CRM, adding bookings to leads, contacts and the Meetings module. If your business runs on Zoho, Bookings is usually the simpler choice.

Both tools let customers pick a time from your availability, sync with Google and Microsoft calendars, send reminders and add video links. Both handle round-robin team scheduling, intake questions and payments on paid plans. For a solo user who just needs a booking link, either works well.

Calendly's strengths are its ease of use, a very familiar interface for invitees, routing forms and a large integration list, including HubSpot and Salesforce. It also connects to Zoho CRM through an integration, so Zoho users are not locked out. It is a good fit when your stack mixes many vendors.

Zoho Bookings is built for service businesses as well as sales calls, with staff, resources, workspaces and in-person appointments. Its Zoho CRM integration can push customer details into leads, contacts or a custom module and list appointments in CRM's Meetings module. Users can also book from a lead or contact record. Zoho says the free plan syncs leads and contacts with primary fields only.

Pick Zoho Bookings if you already use Zoho CRM or Zoho One, where Bookings is included, and want appointments tied to CRM records without extra tools. Pick Calendly if your team prefers its interface or uses non-Zoho systems heavily. At the time of writing, Zoho Bookings has a free plan for one user, and Calendly also offers a free tier.
