How do I set up multi-level approvals in Zoho Creator?

In Zoho Creator, you can build multi-level approvals with the approval workflow feature, adding approvers in sequence, or with Blueprint for stage-based processes. Define the levels, who approves at each one, what happens on approve or reject, and notifications. Use conditions to skip levels, for example when an amount is below a limit. Test every path before going live.

Start on paper. Write out each level, such as team lead, then finance, then director, and the rule for when each applies. Note what happens on rejection, whether the record goes back to the requester or stops. Clear rules prevent the most common problem, which is a request stuck with nobody knowing who should act.

In Creator, an approval workflow is attached to a form. You set the approvers for each level, by user, role or a field on the record, and actions to run on approval or rejection. For processes with several stages, transitions and mandatory fields at each step, Blueprint gives a clearer visual flow. Some teams also use a status field and Deluge to route records when rules are unusual.

Make approvals visible. Create a report showing pending items by approver, and send reminders when something waits too long. Add an approval history so auditors can see who approved what and when.
