How do I segment Zoho Campaigns lists by location?

Store location in contact fields such as country, state or city, then create a segment in Zoho Campaigns with criteria on those fields. If contacts come from Zoho CRM, sync the address fields so the data stays current. Segments update as contacts change, so you can send region-specific campaigns or adjust send times by time zone without maintaining separate lists.

Segments in Zoho Campaigns are filtered views of one or more lists. You define rules on contact fields, such as Country equals Canada or City is one of Toronto, Ottawa. Because a segment is rule-based, new contacts that match are included automatically, which is far easier than splitting your list by hand.

The quality of a location segment depends on the data. Check that the location fields are filled and use consistent values. Mixed entries like UK, U.K. and United Kingdom will split one region into three. Use picklists on your sign-up forms and in Zoho CRM to keep values clean, and map those fields in the CRM sync.

If you do not have location data, you can collect it on sign-up forms or ask subscribers to update preferences. Campaigns reports may show where opens came from, but that is not reliable enough to build segments on, so treat it as a rough guide.
