How do I let a consultant into my Zoho FSM to scope and build?

Add the consultant as a user in Zoho FSM with an administrator profile, using their own email address, not a shared login. This uses a user licence while they work. Agree the scope in writing, ask them to work in a test setup or on test records first, and remove or downgrade their access after go-live.

Zoho FSM, like most Zoho apps, controls access through users and profiles. A consultant needs admin rights to change layouts, service and parts, workflows, territories and integrations. Adding them as a named user keeps an audit trail of what they changed, which you lose with a shared password. If you use Zoho One, you may add them through the Zoho One admin panel and assign FSM.

Before giving access, prepare what they will need: your service types, job steps, technician list, territories, price lists and any links to Zoho CRM, Books or Inventory. Ask for a written scope, a list of changes and a test plan. If FSM is already live, ask the consultant to create test customers and work orders rather than editing real jobs.
