Does Zoho People track your location or activity?
Only if your employer turns it on, and only during work hours. Zoho People can capture location when you check in, block check-ins outside a geo-fenced area, and on Professional and higher plans track location through the mobile app between check-in and check-out. Zoho's help pages do not describe screen or keystroke monitoring.

Zoho People is HR software. Its main jobs are employee records, leave, attendance, shifts, timesheets and performance reviews. Location features exist to support attendance, and an administrator decides whether to use them. There are two separate features worth knowing about: geo restrictions on where you can check in, and location tracking during working hours.
Geo restrictions let an admin draw an area on a map, such as an office, and limit where employees can mark attendance, start timesheet timers or access files. Zoho's help pages say check-ins from outside the boundary are blocked. For web check-ins Zoho reads the browser's location, which it warns can be inaccurate, so it recommends the mobile app, which uses the phone's GPS.
Location tracking is a separate feature for field staff. Zoho's help pages say it works through the Zoho People mobile app, only between check-in and check-out, at an interval the admin sets, such as every 15 minutes. Tracking stops when you check out or take a break. You must grant location permission, and Zoho advises choosing 'while using the app'. It is listed on Professional and higher plans and is enabled by contacting Zoho support.
Does Zoho People track activity? It records attendance, timesheet hours and leave. Zoho's help documentation does not describe screenshots, keystroke logging or app and website usage monitoring in Zoho People. If you are unsure what your employer has enabled, ask HR; local privacy and employment laws may also require them to tell you.
