Can Zoho Creator build a vehicle tracking or fleet app?

Yes for fleet management, with limits on live tracking. Zoho Creator handles vehicles, drivers, trips, fuel logs, maintenance schedules, inspections and documents well, with mobile apps that capture location when a form is submitted. True real-time GPS tracking needs data from GPS devices or a telematics service, which Creator can receive through APIs and show on a map.

The core of a fleet app is records and schedules. Creator can hold vehicles, drivers, licence and insurance expiry dates, service intervals, fuel entries and trip logs. Scheduled workflows remind managers before documents expire or services fall due. Drivers can use the Creator mobile app for pre-trip checklists with photos, signatures and the phone's location at submission.

Live tracking is different. A phone app capturing location on submit is not continuous tracking. For that, vehicles need GPS trackers, and the tracker provider usually offers an API or webhook. Creator can receive or fetch those positions, store them and display the latest location of each vehicle on a map view. Keep the volume in mind, as high-frequency location data can grow fast.

A sensible plan is to build the fleet records and workflows first, then add telematics once the basics are in use. If you would rather have this set up for you, Flowpeak can build the app and the tracker integration.
