Can customers pay through Venmo or add tips in the Zoho Books client portal?
US customers can pay with Venmo through Zoho Books' PayPal integration, paying in US dollars by scanning a QR code at checkout. Zoho Books does not have a built-in tip field on invoices or in the customer portal. If you want to accept tips, add an optional tip line before sending, or use a separate payment link for gratuities.

Venmo comes through PayPal. Once your PayPal business account is connected to Zoho Books and the invoice is in US dollars, customers in the United States can choose Venmo when they pay an invoice online. They scan a QR code with the Venmo app to complete payment. If Venmo does not appear, check the currency, the customer's country and whether your PayPal account has Venmo enabled.
Tips are a different matter. Zoho Books treats an invoice as a fixed amount owed, so the portal does not invite the customer to add extra. Service businesses usually handle this by adding a tip item to the invoice after agreeing it with the customer, or by sending a separate payment link for a gratuity. Overpayments can be recorded as customer credits, but that is messy for tips.
Remember that tips may have payroll and tax effects if they are passed to staff. Track them as their own item or account so your accountant can see them clearly.
